As co-owner and creative director of Centrifuge, I bring over 25 years of B2B experience. I have worked alongside some of this industry's sharpest leaders, which has helped me to understand the drivers for effective strategic marketing communications. My brain is wired for the optimization of creative output while ensuring the brand experience is on strategy, fully engaging, and focused on results.
My business-to-business career has served on both the client and the agency sides of the table, centered on exploring and managing the creative process. My first full-time job out of Columbia College was as a staff line-artist (yes, pen and ink) at Newark Electronics, an electronic/electrical distributor based in Chicago. I was then handpicked to establish and lead the graphics department for SPC Electronics, Newark's private-label division, charged with the creation of sales support materials. After 3 years of mutual growth and a strong desire to stretch my wings, I brought my passions for art direction and problem solving to Arends, one of the leading Midwest B2B industrial marketing agencies.
I dedicated the next 20+ years to perfect my craft, expanding my skills and responsibilities, as I grew from art director to creative director and eventually president of the agency. It was there I met John Barnett and Lisa LaCount, two of the nicest and most talented people you could ever want to work with. We quickly saw our abilities gel, and as a team we produced some of the agency's best work and generated the results to prove it.
